Roy Davis joins the Beavercreek YMCA coaching staff for this fourth season. Roy resides in Huber Heights with his wife Mary Sue. He has three grown children and two grandchildren. He started his career with the Northwest YMCA. Roy has coached for 21 years in the Dayton area, 9 of those years as Head Coach of the Miami County YMCA. He was the Short Course Coach of the Year in 1999 and Long Course Coach of the Year in 2001. He was inducted into the Southwest YMCA Hall of Fame in 2002. Roy works with the 11 – 14 year old age group..

 

Emily Oehrtman

11 & Over Coach

 This is Emily's first season coaching at the Beavercreek YMCA and 5th season coaching YMCA swimming. She will be working with the 8 & under, 11-12 and 13-14 age groups this season. She has recently graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. 

Nick Seuch

8 & Under Coach

Nick Seuch joins us for his third season, and works with the 8 and under swimmers. He was a four year lettterman at Wright State University. In 2006 Nick was the Raider Award recipient, an award given to the team member who demonstrates the most spirit and enthusiasm In the summer he coaches Brookvew Swim Club in Bellbrook. Nick swam for the Sarasota Sharks YMCA and attended YMCA Nationals as an age grouper. He is currently working on his masters degree at Wright State.

Chris Meleason

9 & 10 Coach

This will be Chris' 7th year coaching at the Beavercreek YMCA.  After 6 years with the 8 & Under age group, Chris will be coaching the 9-10 age group this year.  Chris is originally from the Cleveland area and has lived in Dayton since 1993.  He is a 1993 graduate of Wright State University.  This is Chris' 16th overall year of coaching.  In the Summer, Chris coaches at Idle Hour Swim Club in Beavercreek.  Idle Hour has won Championships 8 of the 10 years Chris has coached there.  Chris resides in Fairborn with his wife, Jaimie, and daughters, Mackenzie and Brynn.  Chris is also an adapted physical education specialist for Fairborn City Schools.  Chris was MVP of Fairview High School swim team his junior and senior year.  He also swam for Lake Shore Swim Club.
