The Beavercreek YMCA
philosophy is that the opportunity to experience competitive
swimming should be available to a large number of interested youth.
The ultimate goal of the team is to develop the complete
individual. We consider swimming to be a healthy activity which if
properly conducted will be beneficial to the growing boy or girl.
Team members are expected to accept their responsibility to family,
church, school and team.
Our program will try to develop four
areas:
ATTITUDE: Team members will earn respect by
respecting all members of the team and the coaching staff. Always
working to the best of their ability in both practice and meets,
and have the desire to be a “winner” and a
“worker”.
SPORTSMANSHIP: At all times, in both practice and
at meets, each member will always conduct himself or herself as a
gentleman or as a lady and be aware of losing, but never enjoy or
practice it.
DEDICATION: Team members will be encouraged to
attend all practices regularly and promptly. In athletics, as well
as in life, most successful people have had to make certain
sacrifices to achieve high goals.
RESPONSIBILITY: Team members will be on time for
practice and meets, remember goggles, caps, & membership card.
They will sign up for meets, and be ready to swim their
events
